Kindly note that today is the second consecutive business day that the New York Stock Exchange is closed, a rare event that has only occured three times in recent memory. Will fraudsters attempt to run scams today past financial institutions or NBFIs that are unaware?

With all the bogus e-mails out there purporting to be from one's bank, requesting account information, will fraudsters today try to simulate closed brokerage houses ? It might be prudent to alert your compliance staff accordingly to thoroughly investigate any strange matters involving securities today, or pending from the long holiday weekend.
