The US Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has designated a Colombian money exchange company a Specially Designated Narcotics Trafficking Kingpin (SDNTK), due to its operation as a front for the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, the FARC. The Comercializadora Colombian Money Exchange Limitada exchanged foreign currency, obtained by the FARC from narcotics sales, for pesos. Six individuals linked to the business were also charged, including Norberto Antonio Agudelo Velasquez, reported to be a significant FARC drug trafficker.
