The Procuraduria General de la Republica, Mexico's Attorney General, has seized 103 fixed-wing aircraft and three rotary-wing aircraft (helicopters) in Culiacan, Sinaloa State, in an anti-money laundering operation. The owners of these suspect aircraft were unable to provide the authorities with legal proof of ownership. Were these aircraft linked to Sinaloa Cartel kingpin Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman?

The above are the only known tail numbers released to date by the Mexican authorities; they are the three helicopters seized.
The Mexican companies involved in the six hangars where the aircraft were seized, located at Aeropuerto Internacional de Culiacan are:
- Aeroservice Vip SA de CV
- Colegio Internacional de Aviacion Profesional
- Ciapsa
- Asepsa
- Apaba
Query: is this case tied to the Casa de Cambio Puebla and the other three MSBs that have been accused of laundering drug profits smuggled in from Venezuela? We cannot yet answer that question, but our investigation is continuing.
